We are pleased to welcome Katie Beach as the new Granville High School assistant principal. Mrs. Beach was approved during the June 26 Granville Board of Education regular meeting. Her official start date is July 31.
Mrs. Beach has been a classroom teacher for 17 years. Her last position was as Social Studies teacher, trip coordinator, and assistant activities director for Mount Vernon City Schools. Her skills include collaborating with other teachers, administrators, and parents to help students reach learning objectives; creating and facilitating instructional plans for student-centered learning and achievement; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and community partners. She has administrative experience in leading middle school athletics programming and coordinating class trips with grant funding.
“I am excited to jump into this new role! I take pride in building relationships and welcome opening the channels of communication with you this summer,” said Beach. “Granville is an exceptional district, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.”

Mrs. Beach earned her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and her master’s degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She received her administrative licensure in 2020 from the University of Dayton.

“Katie is an enthusiastic educator and aspiring leader who has experience building relationships with students and staff,” Brown said. “We believe that she will be a compassionate and effective leader with her work in delivering student-centered educational experiences, and we are looking forward to her providing empowering leadership to all stakeholders in the high school and the district.”

Mrs. Beach lives in Mount Vernon with her husband Corey, son Griffin, golden retrievers Sawyer and Violet, and cats Bogey and Birdie. Her family loves to travel, watch baseball games, and cheer on the Buckeyes.
