Open Houses

  • GES: Tuesday, August 22
    • Last Names A-I - 4:00-4:30 p.m.
    • Last Names L-Q - 4:45-5:15 p.m.
    • Last Names R-Z - 5:30-6:00 p.m.
  • GIS: Life of a GIS 4th Grader – Our annual orientation for all incoming 4th graders will be held on August 16, 2023.  This is a 30-minute student-only event to welcome our 4th graders to our GIS family. Students will meet our school counselor, Ms. Baker, and the building principal, Ms. Lees, and learn from 6th grade GIS Student Experts about the life of a GIS 4th grader. Students will also be given a tour of the building so that they are comfortable, confident, and prepared for the first day of school. In order to provide a safe environment for our students, we are asking families to drop off and pick up their 4th graders at the times listed below according to the following groupings by students’ last names:
    • 10:00-10:30: 4th graders last name A-F
    • 10:45-11:15: 4th graders last name G-L
    • 11:30-12:00: 4th graders last name M-R
    • 12:30-1:00: 4th graders last name S-Z
  • GMS: Monday, August 21 Doors will open at 5pm, and from 5-5:55pm, families/students my roam the building, practice their combination, place items in their lockers, etc. The 5-5:55pm time frame is truly come and go as you please. MSP will be present as well (MSP = Middle School Parents group). Families/Students will follow their schedule to visit each classroom and meet staff from 6-7:40pm.
    • Period 1: 6-6:10pm

    • Period 2: 6:15-6:25pm

    • Period 3: 6:30-6:40pm

    • SKIP lunch & go to your 4th OR 5th period class

    • Period 4 or 5: 6:45-6:55pm

    • Period 6: 7:00-7:10pm

    • Period 7: 7:15-7:25pm

    • Period 8: 7:30-7:40pm

    • 8th grade DC meeting in the GMS gym @ approx. 7:50pm

  • GMS: 7th GRADE (AND NEW 8th GRADE STUDENT) ORIENTATIONStudent orientation will take place August 15 and 16.

  • 8/15: LAST NAME A-K from 9-11am
  • 8/16: LAST NAME L-Z from 9-11am

Updating Contact Information

Any family that needs to update contact information, can do so in PowerSchool. Each student's forms will need to be updated in PowerSchool > Forms, then complete Contact Update form. Any families that have changed addresses will also need to upload proof of their new residency in Granville – two forms of residency (e.g., new lease/deed, change of address form with post office, utility bill). To upload the documents, you will need to go to "Contacts Update".  Families also can contact the Transportation Department by emailing [email protected] to obtain new bus information. 

School Newsletters
Don't forget to sign up for building newsletters when your children progress up to a new building! To do this, visit and then click on "Departments" at the top of the page. Choose "Communication" and then click on the left under "Subscribe to District and School News". You also may unsubscribe from any building newsletters by choosing that school and clicking "unsubscribe" or contact Janelle King at the District Office at [email protected].

School Supply Lists

School Supply Lists by Grade for 2023-24

To order school supply kits through the K-6 PTO, visit

GHS supply lists are dependent on the student's individual classes and will be provided on the first day of school from each teacher. Please have students come to school with a notebook and pen/pencil.
