Granville High School Theatre Department will perform the musical 9 to 5 April 28-29 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Please note that there is no matinee for this musical, which is rated PG13. All tickets are $10 and you may call 740-587-8166 to preorder.
Based on the movie from 1980 of the same title starring Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 tells the story of three women who collaborate to take down their misogynist boss and live out their wildest fantasies. Actors include Rowan Sharkey as Violet Newstead, Kate Plaugher as Doralee Rhodes, Anna Minton as Judy Bernly and Rick Duffus as Mr. Franklin Hart.
More than 100 students are involved in the production, which is directed by Sara Sharp and Stefanie Stanton with musical direction by Kristen Snyder. Student production staff includes Kelsey Bittel as production stage manager, Savannah Hess as student assistant technical director, Cecelia Reinhardt and Kayla Braden as assistant stage managers, and Mackenna Finley as student director. Tim Stanton is the technical director.
