House Bill 276
Semi-Annual Report to the President of the Board of Education
The mandates of House Bill 276, effective March 30, 2007, require that the Superintendent must provide a semi-annual written report the President of the Board of Education on all verified incidents of "harassment, intimidation, or bullying" that have take place during the time period and must post a summary of that report on the district's website.
"Harassment, intimidation, or bullying" is defined in the statute and in Board Policy JFCF as an intentional written, verbal, or physical act that a student has exhibited toward another particular student more than once. The behavior both (1) causes mental or physical harm to the other student; and (2) is sufficiently severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student.
